The Prayer Wheel is built to be private by default. We collect as little as possible, we don't track you, and we never read your journal.
Using the Prayer Wheel without an account
You can pray without signing up. Anonymous sessions are kept on your own device using your browser's local storage, along with a small cookie that lets you resume a session in progress. None of this leaves your device, and we cannot read it.
If you create an account
Accounts are optional and exist only to save your journal across sessions. We store your email address, an optional display name, and — if you choose it — your newsletter preference. There are no passwords: you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email.
Your journal
When you're signed in, your journal entries are stored in our database so they're there when you return. They are private to you. We do not read them, we do not use them to train any AI, and we never sell or share them. We never include journal content in our logs. You can download any session as a PDF, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Sign-in links and account emails are sent through Resend, our email provider, so we can deliver them reliably. If you opt in to the newsletter, that is managed separately by The Peaceable Way, and every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe. Opting in is entirely your choice and is never required to use the Prayer Wheel.
Cookies and local storage
We use a sign-in cookie when you have an account, a cookie to resume an anonymous session, and your browser's local storage to remember small preferences like whether audio is muted. We do not use advertising cookies, Google Analytics, or third-party tracking scripts.
The "Sing" segment and YouTube
One segment offers a worship video embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. If you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback. Nothing plays until you choose to start it.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and journal, contact us through The Peaceable Way and we will remove your data.
Children
The Prayer Wheel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above. Continued use of the Prayer Wheel means you accept the current version.
